Are You Kidding Me?I have no idea how anyone in their right mind could call this movie a "masterpiece". It's a terrible, terrible waste of time.
The main characters are terrible actors - there's not a good one in the entire bunch. The plot is ridiculous! How did the "hormones" cause the zombie outbreak? How did Rita "spike" the trees? Who's fault was it? And wait, can someone explain exactly what "it" is? So damn confusing. The characters deserved to die, and not because it was some big moral to do with the father sentencing his son to die and all that crap (did YOU sense any real relationship between them? Uh, no. Does that make it all the more resounding? Uh, no. Get over it.) They were so stupid. They had a huge SUV, and in the beginning of the movie, all they had to do was break down a padlocked gate, and freedom! Did they do it? Of course not. They went back and got themselves killed...
...or did they? The ending was a terrible mess. Did Tyler get bitten? Why would he go back for that idiot? Why wouldn't he protect Rita? Did Rita find the car? Did she leave? Die? What? Don't say "oh, but use your imagination!" Sorry, the ending gave no answers whatsoever. The camera work was terrible, the acting was as ridiculous as it was in the beginning, and I was left wishing I hadn't wasted $5 at Blockbuster. And this is the nice review. You should hear the review of the friend I watched it with. Sheesh.
