DisappointedGreat at first with potential for an outstanding picture until problems began to proliferate. The TV makes such a loud high pitch tone on occasion that I must turn it off. The horizontal lines are off; they noticeably rise in the middle. Sometimes I must hit the power button twice for the TV to turn on. Those were not even the worst problems. The problem that caused me to call tech support (I'll get to that mess in a second) is hard to even explain. Colors would reflect into each other. Brights (Whites, oranges, etc.) would reflect into blacks or other dark colors. When the screen is predominantly a rich color, the sides "wash out."
These problems are especially bad when watching HD or DVD. Samsung's customer support was horrendous. After five months and dozens of phone calls I finally got a replacement. It was also defective. It had no HDMI or audio ports - they were empty holes in the back panel. Still waiting for a decent TV.
