I Love my Canon SX20IS but the Video Playback is ChoppyI would have given a FIVE STAR rating if there had been a complete owners manual included, even if the camera cost a few dollars more for it. I bought this for Christmas 2010 and I have taken many photos and love the results. I'm new to this type of camera and learn something new very often. The only disappointment I have is that it didn't come with the owners manual. That has to be bought separately or printed down from a PDF file or something. The video playback is very choppy but I have found on the internet info that probably will solve the problem.
This camera records hi definition and the sound in stereo is awesome. Anyway, the SD card I'm using is a 4GB (class 2) and I've read that a 4GB class 4 or class 10 should be considered for use in this kind of camera and that the result will be a much faster data transfer. A class 4 (4mb/sec) should not only improve video playback but make for faster shots. Right now, the shutter clicks and then there is the dreaded transfer time before shooting again (approx 1 second delay). But this camera is well worth the money and probably the best in its class for the price!
