about this book: Willow is 12 years old and is home schooled. She is woken one night by a bulldozer next to her house. The frackers have arrived. She cannot stay with all this racket, even though it is her home, albeit a miner's hut. She stays in the city until the police arrive and take her and her mother, Julie, back to their hut as the bulldozer and the driver have disappeared. All is revealed when Willow's dog, Rusty, finds the driver down a mineshaft which then led to them finding gold. How did he get there and where is the bulldozer? Julie and Willow set up a blockade to stop any more trucks on their land and when there's a moratorium, they visit their friends in Broome and join another blockade. Will they win?
