Author J. Carol Johnsonabout this book: This story took place in the early 1970's. It is based on actual events that took place in which I became involved. However, since many of these men I wrote about are still alive and functioning in that lucrative business, I needed to improvise and change many details of this story. As I stated in my disclaimer, any resemblance to persons living or dead is purely coincidental. Although this story is based on actual events, a good deal of it is from my vast imagination and written to protect the innocent...and the not-so-innocent. I'll leave it up to the reader to determine which is what.

Interior decorator Carla worked for Roy, a wealthy movie theater owner. While she redecorated his theaters they fell in love and got married. Her work was admired by the head of a major mafia. His wife hired Carla to refurbish their Hollywood mansion. She befriended other lonely wives with husbands of that mafia. When Roy joined them he got caught up in parental child abuse and murder. Their marriage drug Carla into the porno mafia's underworld with him.

Because of Roy's adultery and deceptions Carla found love with a cop who was after her husband. She later had a nervous break down and had to struggle for her own sanity while Roy was in his rampages. Another wealthy man secretly loved Carla but couldn't interfere. Would he be able to rescue her? Perhaps her political friends could help her.

Or did Roy just dig her grave?
