Book: Marquez by Les Williamscategories: Book, Fiction, Short Story, Old West, Western Fiction, Western
Les Williamsabout this book: Marquez is my second published western short story and the first to be published by Western Trail Blazer in 2011. This was also the first time I had considered going the E publishing route. My plan now is to hopefully have more stories electronically published.
I'm not sure where I came up with the name Marquez for my character but I liked the idea of only one name. I thank Rebecca J Vickery for having the faith in an unknown writer to publish my tale of the Old West. I hope you enjoy this trip back in time.
"According to the man I spoke to in Logan's Bluff, the widow Dunmore does not take kindly to strangers stopping by. I'll soon find out. Had it not been for the promise I made to Newt following the Battle of Saylor's Creek, I would not be here. But a promise is a promise. Once on the small homestead, I find out there's secrets. Or stay and do the right thing?" - Marquez
