Cheryl Piersonabout this book: One Magic Night is the story of a young woman, Katrina Whitworth, the eldest daughter in her family. At an Independence Day picnic, a stranger catches her eye, and her heart. But can she dare hope that he'll notice her?
Dr. Shay Logan has just returned from medical school to set up his practice in the small town where he was raised in Indian Territory. But will his Indian heritage keep him from being successful?
This story is based on something that happened to my great great great grandfather. He was kidnapped from his Indian family by the Cavalry and given to a Presbyterian minister to raise. His name was changed and he was sent to medical school when he was old enough. But where did he fit in? He wasn't white, but his heritage had been stripped from him.
In this fictionalized story, I have given my ancestor the happy ending he so deserved in real life. I hope you enjoy reading ONE MAGIC NIGHT.
