Celia Yearyabout this book: RODEO MAN is a contemporary Western romance between a young Dallas woman and a man who is not as he appears to be. Marla Ellington inherits an abandoned town on ranchland near Arrowhead, Texas. She packs her big vehicle with camping gear to stay a week to fulfill the terms of the will. She must stay there seven days to earn the property.
Her old weird grandfather loved Marla, and she was the only family member who visited him in the abandoned one-road town.
I got the idea for the town from a real story of a man in Central Texas who put a town up for sale, and another man who put an abandoned town in eBay for sale. Both were sold, although these events happened years apart. This gave me something for the man, Cody Matheson, to tell Marla when she askes--"What are you doing in my town?"
"Bought it on eBay," he answers. Thus begins the firey, fun relationship between the two.
Marla soon learns why he's in the town, and why he's telling her one thing about him...but leaving out the most important part of his life--exactly who he is.
I hope you like this fast-paced story.
