Len Steiner about this book: I had always admired Edgar Allan Poe as an author. I especially like his eerie short stories. I even acted in an Expressionistic Play of the "Telltale Heart" in high school. That motivated me to write weird and eerie short stories in the Poe fashion. I had been collecting my stories for many years and finally decided to combine them in a book collection. Some of them, like Poe, are far out and I even included a few personal experience stories from my fourteen years of work in Saudi Arabia. One of my stories, "The Manuscript of Adrian Hobart" was dramatized on British Broadcasting World Service's Short Story Program in 1982. It is included in this collection. The title is something I thought of myself that describes the stories. The collection covers a multitude of eerie subjects from murder, death, and insanity to revenge, terrorism, and greed. Of course, they are all included strictly for entertainment only. The cover was selected by my publisher Black Rose Writing and is apropos for the collection. I did do some research for the book but most of the stories came strictly from my own imagination and quest for the unreal. The book is very enjoyable in an odd sort of way.
