Philip G Henley
about this book: This is a tale told in retrospect about an immensely wealthy individual who is dying from an incurable brain tumour. He has had a capability, since he was a teenager, to persuade people to do his bidding. As he looks back on his business and personal life he realises his errors. He doesn't know which of his relationships are real or created by his ability. As his death draws near he tries to make amends for his past behaviour. The story crosses the globe and details high finance, insider trading, and a luxury lifestyle. From The City of London to New York, Honk Kong, Shanghai, Dubai with interludes in St Kitts, The Caymans and a Chateau in the South of France. A tale that illustrates that money cannot buy you everything
This is a book for adults, inspired by the financial crisis and interested in persuasion verging on hypnosis. Research was completed on brain tumours share dealing and the property market in Dubai, Shanghai and other locations from the early 1980's onwards. This is my third novel all in different genres and all exploring imperfect lead characters.
