Book: Who Needs Justice? (Chris Seely Vigilante Justice Book 1) by Rex Bolt
categories: Book, Crime, Noir, Pulp, Psychological, Serial Killer, San Francisco, Manhattan Beach, Zodiac Killer, Thriller, Vigilante JusticeRex Bolt

In that show, the main character gets a terminal diagnosis, and he tries to cram as much excitement as he can into the time he has left.
For the novel, I spun the idea into: What if this character (Chris) decides that certain people shouldn't be walking around anymore?
His justification is that these people have gotten away with various bad deeds over the years, and that he's going down the tubes anyway so he has little to lose in pursuing them.
So he sits down in Starbucks and makes a list on the back of his receipt.
As the book goes on there are adjustments to the list, and Chris has mixed success in addressing it.
There also comes a point, after he's in deep, where he's not sure he's getting worse, and wonders if someone made a mistake with his diagnosis.
This is Book 1 of what is currently a 5-Book series.
