Linda Lee Williamsabout this book: Meet the Slaters, a family of bakers that doesn't mind staying up all night! They're hybrid-vampires, trying to fit into modern-day society while keeping their dark secret--except from the women they love, of course...
Old Town Nights revolves around Ambrose Slater and Abby Lawrence, the woman he's set his sights on. Ambrose is a vampire with a conscience. He doesn't want to make the same mistakes with Abby that his older brother Stefan made with his regular wife. Despite that, he commits the ultimate faux pas: bites first and explains later. Even so, he's determined to let Abby decide whether she wants to spend the rest of her life with him...not force her into a marriage she doesn't want.
Sometimes, love isn't enough to hold two people together when everything else is falling apart around them. Sometimes, love requires courage and sacrifice. As Ambrose and Abby discover--when you give your heart to someone else, your life is never the same again.
With Old Town Nights, I wanted to write a paranormal romance that was as original as possible. I gave my vampire story a different slant, while still respecting the legends and myths. I wanted the vampires to be real, very much "alive"; people who could be your next-door neighbors.
