Book Reviews: Hidden Appearances by Michelle D. Batescategories: Book, Drama, Suspicion, Love, Fear, Jealousy, Urban Fiction
Michelle D. Batesabout this book: This book is about a woman that is trying to escape her past and begin a new drama-free life. She goes through great lengths to start over but still feels the need to keep looking over her shoulder. The title of my book reflects the main character in the story which translates the fact that things are not always what they appear to be. I feel my book will be able to connect with a lot of women that have been stuck in a difficult situation and felt as though there was no way out. The inspiration for this book came from a dream that I once had. It was a very vivid and detailed dream which stayed on my mind long after I was awake. Since I couldn't shake the thought of my dream I decided to try and build a story from it. I have always wanted to write a book ever since I was in high school, but of course I was too busy hanging with friends to focus on that task. Now that I am grown and more settled, I decided to strive to accomplish that goal. It took me four years to write this book and I must say I am very proud of the finished product. I now take this opportunity to share this story with the world and hopefully they will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
