Author Douglas Kolackiabout this book: One person said of this story, "Either George Romero would be proud of you, or he'd sue."

A falling star awakens the deceased into four classes: Angels, Zombies, Goons, and golden Disembodieds. A leader appears among them, calling himself the Reverend Masterplan. He claims to have received, in the afterlife, the location of the fallen star...which can empower him to transform the world (according to him) or destroy it (according to an Angel who's imprisoned somewhere inside his traveling Rapture Carnival).

When Dex Williamson accidentally frees the Angel, the two are off on a chase across an America infested with demonstorms. Along the way they encounter a new Eden where trees grow into castles, a Las Vegas casino of the future, a town called Eternity USA that doesn't seem to be on any map, and the Elijah's Chariot, a golden airship made of ghosts.

I wanted to spin the paranormal into an adventure story that I hope readers will enjoy, and, I hope, will spark people's sense of wonder.
