about this book: As a teenager I did a lot of reading and I thought, I bet I could write a novel too. As an adult, working on a career and raising a family that dream disappeared. The first year of my retirement I read over 120 books and the dream re-emerged. I thought, now I have the time to write my story.
I told my wife about my idea then she laughed and said I was being facetious. I started writing in late November of 2013 and she volunteered as my editor. Ghosts and Gold was published in April of 2014. My novel is part tragedy, fantasy and romance.
It's the story of a man who loses his family in an accident back east and tries to start his life over. He visits his sister in California and decides to do some traveling. He buys a camper and travels throughout Nevada with his dog, Domino. He discovers a lost gold mine, which he reclaims, but breaks his leg in a fall. He falls in love with the doctor that saves him and nurses him back to health.
