Ed Hallidayabout this book: THE ALMOST PERFECT PLOT is a darkly humorous thriller in terms of genre but sits equally happily in the humour category, and fans of either will love it. The story revolves around Thomas Hardy, (not that one, this one is a truly awful writer!), and his quest to change his rather simple and dull life following his divorce. Having been obliged to sell his home, he goes all in and stops writing manuals for flat pack furniture, moves abroad and turns to his long held ambition of writing fiction. whilst searching for inspiration for a plot, he inadvertently gets involved with a real serial killer. This leads him to not only being pursued as the next potential victim but also a police suspect as well as being hounded by his ex-wife. His new Life definitely turns out to be anything but simple and there is certainly never a dull moment as our hero struggles to stay alive, free and single. Although THE ALMOST PERFECT PLOT is the first in a series of adventures featuring Tom Hardy, it is a stand alone story. The sequel, THE ALMOST PERFECT SEQUEL, is intended to be published in autumn 2015.
