Author Stephanie Campbellabout this book: My latest release is called The Willow does not Weep, which is speculative fiction and sweet romance. There's this willow tree named, well, Willow that looks after her family as a tree in the backyard. She thinks she's perfectly happy as a tree until the eldest son, Malan, comes home from college and she realizes that she wants to be a human. She gets told by a magical dove that she has the opportunity to become human, but she will have to trade her thirty-five year lifespan as a Weeping willow for one year as a human. This story is more than just romance. It's about family and what the definition of that truly is. It is also about a girl struggling with herself and the fact that she has only one year of life in a world that she has grown to love.

I always knew that I wanted to be a writer. When I was younger, it was my dream and I kept with it. I am a whimsical, though reclusive, person. I liked that no matter what problems happened to me in my day-to-day life, I had somewhere I could disappear, and those were books. It doesn't matter if I'm reading or writing them. To this day, I still feel that books "saved" me, and I know now that I need them and want to continue my life celebrating how they have made my life better.
