After seven weeks in a coma he awakens with his full mental faculties, but finds that his legs are paralyzed. He doesn't handle his handicap very well and falls into depression, anger, and frustration. He takes it out on his wife of only a year and a half.
After a few weeks of arguing and dealing with Troy, his wife Trina seeks the help of Tommy Waters, Troy's best friend and former partner. Tommy suspects that something else is bothering Troy. He knows that Troy's friend committed suicide when he was little so he decides to investigate to see if there is anything in his past that could be responsible for some of his anger. What he finds disturbs him and raises a lot of questions.
Troy Dance discovers that he has a supernatural power. When Tommy Waters comes before him with his questions it angers Troy and soon Tommy and Trina are in for the fight of their life from a power and a madness that they never thought they'd have to face.
