about this book: Between the Lies is part of a power suspense series that combines the 'what-if's' of government experiments on the brain from the '60's and the conspiratorial aspects of what they may be achieved if they had never stopped. Writing Between the Lies let me explore my characters' backgrounds more in depth than in the other books of the series. Each book in the suspense series stands on it's own plot and story wise but using the same cast of main characters has allowed me to delve deeper into their personal lives and the things that made them who they are.
In this book one of the main protagonist, Jan, has to face the past she has left behind and all the lies that have lead her to this moment. With her past and present accelerating into a certain head-on collision she must decide what is important in her life and who to save. In order to do this she must decide on her truth and what the meaning of her existence has been. Jan must choose whether to let her past die forever or to open herself to the pain that still lay buried deep with in us all.
