Rolynn Andersonabout this book: You could say that a ghost inspired me to write this book.
My husband and I lived for a month in the former home of Paul Cézanne's mother. The Post Impressionist painter (1839-1906) spent so much time with his mother in Aix-en-Provence, France, the city adopted the man as a favorite artist. The apartment and the city inspired me to write Cézanne's Ghost, a romantic suspense novel, of the heart-pounding, heart-rending kind. What better setting, Aix-en-Provence; what better muse, with Cézanne's clever sayings anchoring each of my chapters.
The hero, Leon Beaudet, is a Californian who guides American tourists in Aix-en-Provence. Once an Olympic wrestling star, now he's a popular tour guide and closet sketch artist, hoping Cézanne's favorite city will inspire him to finally finish a portrait.
The mystery: three young American women have disappeared in France while on Leon's tours. A new client, Aline Kerig, has the 'look' of a fourth victim.
The suspense: Can former U.S. Olympic wrestler, Leon keep Aline safe, find the missing tourists, and keep the FBI and French police from arresting him?
