Smoke and Mirrors Nothing is as it Appears --
A defunct lumber mill on the Oregon coast, its wealthy owner, and a handful of aging residents in the remnants of the old mill town weave an illusion of rural innocence.
Retired Sheriff's Detective, Brant Warwick begins to dig after an old logger tells him of finding his friend dead behind the mill, of clandestine nightly activity, and police investigations silenced.
Brant is only able to scratch the surface of the mystery; however, what he finds indicates smuggling through Yaquina Harbor, mob ties, and an Asian drug connection. The mill is merely the tip of a dark, hulking iceberg. Calling in his brother, Mickey a 30 year DEA agent to help him unravel the mystery they set out together to uncover the truth behind the innocent mask and shatter the illusion. They end up with far more than they ever expected to find as the ties to the mill run deep and far.
