about this book: I wrote this book after retiring and moving to Southport, NC. The state was pushing a plan to build a deepwater container port between a nuclear power plant and an ammunition dump that supplied all the arms for the middle east. It seemed a perfect terrorist target. While researching terrorists associated with the 911 attack, I came across a man labeled by the 9/11 Commission in their report as a mastermind behind the attack on the twin towers. I uncovered that he had attended two colleges in North Carolina and had earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He lived and worked briefly in Wilmington, NC, and so he seemed a perfect fit for my antagonist. Countering this threat is Amirrah Kohen who leads Israel's anti-terrorist unit in Gaza, and deals daily with the violent conflict between zealots of the Muslims and Jews. She is reunited with her childhood sweetheart, born of a Muslim father and Jewish mother, and who is driven by conflict spawned by his heritage. Palestine is on the threshold of peace, when the terrorist behind the 911 attacks, exploits a bizarre partnership between a Zionist politician and a Muslim Jihadist igniting Gaza, and forcing Amirrah to choose between saving the one she loves and stopping a plot for nuclear revenge.
