Larry Landgrafabout this book: Most people are not prepared for something which could in reality happen tomorrow; the grid shutting down. The power shuts down regularly in the U.S. and people struggle. In reality, the grid could shut down permanently. Could you survive? Lars Lindgren retired to the country and made due with less, but when the grid shut down and the world went to hell, he was not prepared. Eileen Branson is a city gal, a workaholic and didn't have a care in the world. She was an avid reader and had read a few doomsday books, so she knew what could happen, but she was totally unprepared. She fled the city when the chaos began. This decision could have cost her her life, but could she have survived in the city? Not likely.
Into Autumn is not a short book at 378 pages at a smaller than standard font. As such, it is a long story, but you will not get bored ("...compelling page-turner..."). Something is always happening and you never know what is going to happen next. Struggle is constant, but there are numerous lighter sides, sensual sides, and even humorous moments. This story will make you think and stir your emotions, some of which you will probably not like ("...an enjoyable – if not disturbing – literary treat."), but all the good books I've read stirred my emotions. The snippets are from actual reviews.
When I saw the cover photograph, I knew it was going to be my book cover. A severe storm brewing, not only the weather, but in the country as well. My book published very quickly because I did most of the work myself. The editing was the tough part; over and over, until I was happy. I wanted to write a book that would be read and enjoyed for generations, well, until the grid really does shut down permanently!
I do what I need to do to get things done. Writing and promoting this book is no different. I hate liars and thieves, and will promote my book honestly. If it does not sell, then so be it. But I truly believe it will sell because it is well written and poignant. The book was written from a man's perspective, but re-written to include the woman's perspective. I truly think more women will enjoy the book than men. The comments I'm getting back so far at least indicate so.
I want all my readers to know that I put my heart and soul into this book. I wrote the book with the intention of making it to the New York Times bestsellers list. A lofty goal, but I truly believe it can make it. If you like my book, and even if you don't, write a review. Above all, be honest with me. I have been honest with you. Thank you for reading my book in advance.
