Author Margret A. Treiberabout this book: "The Outcome of Sin" is a story about superheroes in a post-apocalyptic future. However it is all not darkness. This is a book that is ultimately about redemption. The main characters in the story, all have personal hardships to overcome. However, they come together and become greater.

The book's title is a Buddhist quote, and all the chapters are highlighted with the words of the Buddha. Although there is that level in the book, it still remains light reading. I don't purport to have written a great piece of philosophy. It is for entertainment purposes only.

The inspiration for this novel was not so grandiose. Originally, it was going to be a superhero romance novel; however, everything I write seems to become Science Fiction on some level, so the romance portion took a back seat to a SF plot. There is still the element of romance in the story, but it is not a "smut novel" as originally attempted.

The hardest part of writing this, were the adjustments to accommodate for my style. I kept editing out the things that made me blush, and had to resolve not to write an erotic novel and go back to familiar territory. I learned that I am not an erotic novel author. The ideas get auto censored and I don't have the gumption to put anything too racy on paper.

I had a great science consultant, who offered suggestions on some of the concepts I put forth in the story. I enjoyed having the benefit of having a real physics PhD at my disposal.

Above all, this book is just supposed to be fun. I was not trying to change the world or make any political statements. I just want reader to have a good time with it, not have to think too hard. So many writers strive to make readers reflect deeply. I just wanted to give something entertaining to the world.

One day there will be sequels. They are just not done yet. I have to work a day job, so it gets in the way.
