about this book: As a kid who grow up reading comic books, I always wondered how the superheroes kept high profile positions in society like Millionaires, Reporters, Teachers etc. with out at least losing their jobs. This book is my answer to that. I went through a lot of titles but they usually sounded like business text books. Of all the titles I thought of Project: Hero was the best because it is about superheroes and it is a special project that is part of the Urich Foundation that is run by Daniel Urich who is a retired superhero. Part of the story is rooted in the 1940's, even though it takes place in present day, so I used this art deco style cover as it represents that decade and is dark and depressing looking like other current superhero novels or comic books are today. I did have to do some internet research on America's involvement in the last days of World War II so the reader got a feel for that era. This is a science fiction story full of action and adventure that is a fun read for the whole family. If you enjoyed the movie the Avengers then you will enjoy this book.
