Aaron Aaronson about this book: In trying, difficult times everyone needs a superhero, someone who can sweep in and save the day and solve all problems and make everything right. What absolutely nobody needs is Man-Man because he is without a doubt the worst superhero of all time. The book is a superhero parody and consists of the first ten short stories of the Man-Man saga.In his battles against the villains he faces, well, things can get a bit crazy and his level of incompetence is staggering and inconceivable. I suppose the primary readers would be anyone who likes comic books or stories about superheroes, and doesn't take it too seriously. Though the stories primarily exist within the Man-Man universe there are a few Easter eggs for those that can spot them. It certainly is not necessary to be a fan of superheroes or comics though as it would be a fitting read for anyone who likes off the wall, bizarre characters and stories. There are also numerous early nineties pop culture references throughout. If you're holding out for that hero to save the day and Man-Man happens to come along, just keep waiting, trust me, just keep waiting for someone, anybody else.
