about this book: I guess some people are just stubborn or maybe they just refuse to let anyone help them because they don't believe that they have a real problem. They have lived a certain way for so long that they don't even remember any sort of normalcy. They believe that they are living proof that they have gotten the lifestyle of an addict down to perfection. They have learned what to do and what not to do. "I won't get caught this time!" they say. They get away sometimes. Actually, they get away many times. They get away far too many times. To them doing drugs and crime are just a normal every day thing. There is nothing unusual about it. They will most likely die like this if they do not stop soon. Although by this time, they probably don't really care about anything at all and they possibly might even welcome the idea an early death. It will take drastic measures for them to change because even though there have been times when they have wanted to, they did not try all that hard and they have never been able to succeed. This is me. I am that stubborn addict. I am that person stuck in denial. I live my life with one foot in a prison cell and the other foot in hell.
