Book: The Time Thief by Charles Stollcategories: Book, Balance, Philosophy, Body, Mind, Spirit, Adventure, Teacher, Spirituality
Charles E. Stollabout this book: "The Time Thief" contains five main characters who are wacky and off-beat, yet also intelligent and creative, just like people you meet in real life. They each have a purpose in life that sometimes causes conflicts with the other characters. This book is important because it portrays a philosophy of life that is current and not seen since Plato's Republic. Spirituality is viewed as the energy that animates our bodies and becomes a very real element in each of their lives. In the course of their comic interactions with each other, they manage to end the war in Iraq.
It took sixteen months to complete this book. This book will show you how the human spirit intervenes in every thing we do without being preachy of religious.
The plane on the cover represents the Iraq War. It is dropping a bomb on the shattering clock, which represents the professor's theories on time. The individual characters began writing this book for me about a third of the way through. Readers will view life a little differently when they are done.
