Edward OMalley

Author Edward OMalleyabout this book: This book offers insights to social change in America since 1945 and hope for the future - a new "season" is coming soon. You will learn things about our recent history that you did NOT already know.

This book is for people who care about the turmoil facing our country today and hope to see a better time ahead. They want to learn about how the past has shaped the present and how this new period will unfold. This will appeal to people of all generations, as it is about the roles of generations in shaping social change. Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennial's and the emerging Gen Y all play a prominent role in this book.

It took me over a year to write the book. What a great experience! Very challenging but rewarding.

I was inspired to write this book in order to give people hope about the positive changes that lie ahead in the next few years. The title is meant to convey that hope and communicate that social change comes in a repeating cycle. I created the image of the seasonal cycle to show the parallels to the natural world in which we live. Every season is essential to the next and there is no 'wrong' season. Lessons need to be learned and new life springs from those lessons.

I did a lot of research but have been of student of history, political science and foreign policy for most of my life. I have lived in four countries and traveled all over thew world.

I read the national best-selling book "The Fourth Turning" by Strauss and Howe over 20 years ago and wanted to provide a fresh perspective to recent and current events in our country...along with hope for the future. Neil Howe provided praise for my book. "Edward O'Malley makes a valuable contribution to the on-going study of American generations and the cycles of history."

To my readers I would say "the darkest hour is just before the dawn." Positive change is coming soon. America's young generations will bring about this change.
