Book: Just Believe by Scott Fields and Terry McKinleycategories: Book, Religious, Priest, Feel Good, Life Changing, God, Small Town Life
Scott Fieldsabout this book: Tony Franko, a young black man from Detroit escapes from prison and hides out in a small town. He dresses up like a priest and tells Father McKinley, the local priest, that he was sent by the bishop to help out. McKinley is not entirely convinced that he is telling the truth but takes him in anyhow.
As Tony learns about small town life, he slowly falls in love with it. After a life changing event where he, for the first time in his life, prays for a young boy who dies in his arms and returns to life, Tony realizes that his life must change for the better.
This idea came to me one Sunday while I was sitting in church. It was almost as big of an event as the one that Tony experienced. The most incredible thing was that the entire story idea front beginning to end came to me. I am proud to call this one of my best achievements and hope others will enjoy it as well.
