Book: Murder Manhattan Style by Warren Bullcategories: Book, Mystery, Humor, Thriller, Kansas, New York, Damon Runyon, Mystery Conclave, Manhattan, Short Stories
Warren Bullabout this book: Murder Manhattan Style is a collection of short story set in Manhattan, Kansas or that other Manhattan in, um, don't tell me, New York. Manhattan, Kansas is the location of the Great Manhattan Mystery Conclave. The concave and especially the people who ran it were very supportive of my efforts as a writer. I attended every conclave for the six years it ran and it always felt like I was coming home. I still miss it and every October I want to pack by bags and go.
It was the idea of the conclave that persuaded me to put the short story collection together. I had several stories published that were set in Manhattan, Kansas. It occurred to me that I also had several stories published in that other Manhattan. Eventually I figured out that I could pull them together and honor the Conclave at the same time with this collection.
The cover art was designed by Ginnie E L Fenton who does wonderful work.
