Robert Mitchellabout this book: Whenever I come up with the plot for a short story I am usually tempted to expand it into a novel. That's when I sit down and run the plot over and over in my mind. Can it be drawn out? Should it be drawn out? Can sufficient other material be brought in to keep the reader and the writer interested to the end? The short stories in this volume deserved to be treated as simply that, short stories. Their effect of each of them would be lost if they were anything other than something which the reader could get through in a single session. The stories in this volume are all different. They are written in both the first person and the third person. One of them is true, the others might be true. I leave that up to the reader to decide. They run from the paranormal, the unexplained, the mysterious, to the everyday life of the ordinary. But whatever they are, they are my imagination, or they might be. But whatever they are, each one will give the reader something to mull over after the reading has been done.
