Sunny Fransonabout this book: "Reflections" is a collection of short stories that offer suggestions about a variety of life's circumstances. All are fiction, easy to read, and entertaining, but all tend to visit details about our environment and who we are, and how those can morph into unusual situations.
These stories suggest underlying themes regarding synchronicity, serendipity, awareness, priorities and their importance, commonality, and compassion. The stories have often unexpected quirks that can have unpredicted results.
They are generally about what is around us on a daily basis, but quite often it's what we don't notice that can have profound effects. It's a good idea be alert as we go through life and to be keenly appreciative of our surroundings and our routines. It's up to us to take the time to look. Highlighting this was one of reasons behind the thought process for writing stories. And then some of the thought process was just imagination that touches on our humanity, or lack thereof.
The stories are of a variety of lengths and diversity of subject matter, and they are generally understated in order to allow imagination to take hold. While they are generally quiet and unpretentious, a few can nevertheless be a little startling at times. There is a general ecosystemic approach to all of them, and that serves to help link them even though they might not seem to be similar to each other in any other way. In some way, even if it's a small one, they all share some part of the intertwining of everything that exists on our planet. A good idea for us is to work together and to be aware of how one's decisions and actions can send ripples out that eventually have huge effects in an enormous space.
No research was involved as writing these stories was a matter of tapping into imagination plus ecology. Therefore a simple cover design seemed best so people could follow their own muses as they read.
