Book: Self-Publishing Your Book - A Guide for First-Time and DIY Authors by Roger Ellerton, PhD, CMC
categories: Book, Publish a Book, Book Publishing, Publishing Guide, Traditional Publisher, Createspace, Kindle Book, eBook, Vanity Publisher, Self-PublishingRoger Ellerton, PhD, CMC

This book is far from a complete resource on how to write, publish and market your book. However, I believe you will find the information useful and it will make your publishing experience less onerous, more enjoyable and hopefully profitable.
As an example, many countries have a national (non-government) organization that collects fees/royalties from organizations (such as schools, government, businesses) for the right to copy published works. If you satisfy the registration requirements for your national organization, you get to share in the fees/royalties that are collected. In my case, I live in Canada. There is no fee to join the Canadian organization and you must be the author/publisher of a paperback. The first year that I was eligible to receive royalty payments, I received over $200 CDN for a 200 page paperback. The requirements and payout will differ depending on the operating processes of your national organization.
