Keith Renninsonabout this book: Have you heard about authors who wrote a manuscript, put it on a shelf where it sat for twenty- two years and then decided to see if it would sell? Well, that's me. I traveled to Nepal to try to overcome the effects of my mid-life and mid-career crisis and got lost on my first-day trekking. A couple of divorces and business failures will do that to you!
I had taken a trek in Nepal with a friend three years earlier and figured I could do it alone. I had almost 60 pounds of clothing and photographic equipment on my back, which ultimately gave me over 20 blisters on my feet, but between the two trips, I got 3,000 photos.
The time lost and the time spent writing the manuscript were life-changing for me. I made a lot of plans while on the trails in the Himalayas and it took me a number of years to complete them.
Self-examination and self-discovery are essential to our growth, but many people avoid both. I hope my experiences will give others the motivation to discover who they really are too.
