Arwen Jayneabout this book: This book grew out of my love for the characters in my first book "Heart of Stone." Obviously another of Thex's team needed to be freed from an eternity, imprisoned in stone but I felt there was another story that needed to be entwined. Since Arion, Thex's second in command and lover 100,000 years ago, is trapped somewhere deep in the Himalayas I felt that the ancient mysteries and wisdom of that area should be woven into the story. So when Major John Samuels gets some bad news it seemed natural that he wouldn't get an easy out. Instead he must transcend his self in truly Ancient Himalayan style, especially if he wants any hope of pursuing a long term relationship with the local Boswell vet Sally Wilson.
In the meantime Sally is undergoing a transformation of her own and she hasn't a clue why. Simon's kitten might be the culprit. There's more to the kitten than meets the eye.I can't tell you more than that without there being spoilers.
The novel will appeal to those who like erotic paranormal romance with a sci-fi or mythological bent. The Malakim and The Din are straight out of gnostic legend but with a few twists of my own. These Malakim are gorgeous, infuriating, all knowing beings who can read minds and teleport. The Din are the souls of dinosaurs who refuse to participate in reincarnation to evolve. They've got a particularly nasty weapon that can trap the immortal Malakim in incredibly dense crystaline material. Unable to ascend themselves out of the material they must wait for humans with the necessary compassion and love to evolve and free them.
