Yvonne Andersonabout this book: Ransom in the Rock is the third book in the Gateway to Gannah series. It was supposed to be the last, but, doggone it, I still wasn't able to get to the end I'd had in mind!
An attempt to reach the desired conclusion was just part of my purpose. In Book #2, I'd abandoned a character on the planet Karkar and needed to bring her home. Funny thing, though – she was a stubborn teenager by this time, and didn't want to come. By the time I brought her back to Gannah (kicking and screaming), all sorts of unexpected threads to the plot line turned up.
One of my friends had been after me for a long time to add a bit more romance in my stories, so I humored her in this one. Romance isn't the driving force behind the story, but it buds and blooms along the way.
As with all the titles in the series, there's a spiritual theme to this tale. I'll let you read it and figure it out for yourself.
Because the main character is a teenager, this could be considered a YA book, and it's wholly appropriate for young readers. But that's never been the target audience.
