Note from the author:
Thank you for taking the time to view this page and potentially this book. 'Jim & Martha: A Novel on Eco Living' has taken many years to write, and should you wish to read this book I hope you will perceive my love of writing within its pages.
I wrote this novel having been interested in the subject of low-impact living such as ecovillages since 2010, and between then and now have conducted extensive research in this area. I have read many articles and accounts, watched numerous videos, and mainly via social media have contacted people with direct experience of living in ecovillages to ask them pertinent questions. I visited an ecovillage during a festival just before its eviction, receiving important answers there too. Moreover, I completed a postgraduate course of an entrepreneurial nature, where using this novel as my focus, I learned key skills such as how to target my novel’s market as well as building confidence in my writing’s aims and objectives.
With rising house prices forcing more people into emergency accommodation and even homelessness, ecovillages are developing all the while. Offering a real alternative way of living, the subject has gained a growing readership. Even if a reader is unfamiliar with the world of an ecovillage, in this book, humour will greet them there.
