Book Review: Eye of the Storm by Cory R. Lunncategories: Book, Hurricane, Te Natura, Adventure, Survival, Sailing
Cory R. Lunnabout this book: My name is Cory Lunn and I survived a shipwreck in a hurricane. In 2004 Hurricane Ivan struck the Caribbean island of Grenada. I was on board a small sailboat and had to fight to survive but couldn't prevent the boat from going ashore. I also struggled to save the life of my parents.
This is my true story of the adventures leading up to the storm, the fight to survive, and then coping with the aftermath.
People that read "The Perfect Storm" or anybody that loves a good sea story will enjoy this action packed thrill ride.
A fun fact is that the photo on the cover of the book is a picture of the actual boat in the story.
I wrote this book so that people of all ages can experience what it is like to be on a boat in the eye of a hurricane.
During the storm I managed to film from on board the boat. I later edited the footage and released it on Youtube so that everyone can see what the book is describing.
At times exciting, funny, and sad, you will find yourself holding your breath and unable to put the book down.
Hop on board for a ride into the "Eye of the Storm".

CompellingCory Lunn did an outstanding job of taking the readers through the terror of battling a hurricane aboard a sailboat. He kept me involved as I worried if he and his family would make it safely through their ordeal. A great read, but don't read it on a stormy day, it feels much too real! [by KH]
