Thomas Johnsonabout this book: My novels often contain an element of romance in them, which is likely due to my desire to build stories that reflect real people. That is the case with my novel, 39 SIXTY since in this tale Aedan O'Beirne is married and has one child, a son. After leaving his home in the middle of a fight with Ciara, his wife, and with only three days left until the Christmas holiday, he soon discovers his family is missing.
It takes little time before the pace of this story increases as Aedan sets out on a transforming and pain-filled race to find his family. Alone, bloodied and bruised, he carves a path across Chicago's Loop and to the suburbs searching for his family. His love for them becomes painfully clear with each hour passed.
I've set the story against the background of Chicago's beautiful urban landscape, which is filled with historic towers and skyscrapers, among which Aedan must find his family before it's too late.
