about this book: "Non-cooperation with evil is as much a duty as is cooperation with good." — Mahatma Gandhi
Most novels (and movies) about the Mafia romanticize and glamorize Mob members. The Mafia in modern-day America may operate in less obvious ways than in past decades--and is largely ignored by the news media now--but especially through infiltration into legitimate businesses it is still deadly and relentless in an underworld of murder and mayhem, destroying not only each other but also many innocent people along the way. This novel tells it like it is via a story about a challenged and challenging singer-songwriter who bucks her father, the Boss of all Bosses, even at risk of her own life. It also reveals how the Mob got started (Prohibition) and criticizes all those who find glamour in their evil doings. It's a great love story involving two children of Mob chieftains. Anyone interested in romantic suspense with substance and depth should enjoy my tale as much as I enjoyed writing it. My research is confidential, but the facts come from many who "know." It's an expose', a romance, and an action-adventure novel all wrapped into one.
