Avis Randallabout this book: Rowan's life is one of peace and happiness in rural Somerset until the day she finds out her husband is not the faithful man she thought he was which leads to a tragic accident and pulls her world apart.
Set in a fictional village in the West Country, the area where I grew up, the novel evolved from a short story written whilst on a creative writing class many years ago and decided I wanted to write a novel that leads up to the event that was the plot in the short story. The novel took over a year to write, it's title coming from a haiku that so beautifully describes an incident in the book. My background as a secretary in to a consultant psychiatrist was called upon for several of the later scenes within the novel, the action of which takes place during the 1980s.
A Drift of Daisies will appeal to family saga readers and readers who love a good romance.
