Moira Bianchiabout this book: 'Friendship of a special kind' is a my first attempt in the magical word of authoring. I've read my fair share of books and still have a full list waiting for me but Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice won my heart from the first chapter.
It was very refreshing to be told what was inside Mr Darcy's head from the very begining.
Of course I'm as prone to a chick lit as the next door woman, so I was seduced by the rocky path Elizabeth makes Darcy go through in order to gain her heart.
When I finished I googled P&P and discovered a vast fandon that included several adorable fanfics. I made friends, surfed the stories and different accounts of this love until one day Mr Darcy and Lizzy started talking to me.
From a particular scene that looped in my head, it evolved to a full story.
It took me a few months to write and much more to edit but I ended up with a heartfelt, sexy, steamy story about a 32 years old Lizzy meeting the haughty and hotty Will Darcy by chance. Lizzy shied away from relationships afraid of another heartbreak after her husband died unexpectedly and decides on a whim to have some fun with no strings attached.
A totally new experience for the good girl she thought herself as, Lizzy suddenly finds herself in lust with this amazing man who by his turn goes completely in love with her. He makes it very hard for her to keep avoiding him and... Well, that's the story.
Originally posted on JAFF sites as 'How William Darcy persuaded Lizzy Bennett to love again', 'Friendship of a special kind' is a delightful way to let our minds fly away in a MA rated love story.
I'm Brazilian and I let these Darcy and Lizzy have some Brazilian zest too. They are naughty and spontaneous, hot blooded and self combusting.
I've been told that it's such a fun story that it feels like the reader is beside Darcy and Lizzy eavesdroping on their conversation. Well, that's a fine compliment as I see it.
