Edna Curry

Author Edna Curryabout this book: Tami and Cal were best friends and sweethearts in high school. Tami wanted to get married and share an apartment in college, but Cal insisted they were too young. Instead, they broke up. Tami, now a newspaper journalist, is assigned to cover their tenth high school reunion in Conley, MN. She and Cal meet again. He's now a widower with a five year old son.

Sparks fly, but neither is willing to change for the other. Then a tornado destroys the little town and everyone learns the truth about what is important in their lives. One of their classmates is badly injured and Tami and Cal work together to help his wife and children pick up the pieces of their farm and their lives. Cal begins to see that Tami has grown up and is no longer a selfish child. Their former classmates conspire to throw them together, hoping for them to make up.

This story was inspired by the huge Minnesota tornado that destroyed most of my hometown of Comfrey. I've been gone from there many years, so all the people are fictitious, of course, as is the love story.
I hope you enjoy it.
