BUTTERFLY BOOKSabout this book: Monique lives in Durban in South Africa, and has just completed a particularly nasty divorce from Clive, managing to retain custody of her two children. She runs a head hunting agency for hotel and catering staff, and works in conjunction with a similar agency based in London who specialize in international hotel staff.
She wins a contract to provide staff for a new hotel near to Mount Vanduzi in Mozambique. She goes there for the opening ceremony with some of her staff and colleagues, travelling via Beira by road. They stop for a picnic lunch on the way but their car wont start after lunch. Another car driving the other way, on the Road to Beira, stops to help them and she recognizes Colin whom she knew at University some 20 years earlier.
He helps them get to their destination where that all stay overnight, and Monique suddenly decides that Colin is an attractive man and would be more than a replacement for her former husband! But what about her children? Where does Colin think and live and work? And a host of other problems...
Beira is a port town in the south of Mozambique on the east coast of Africa, and the road to Mount Vanduzi is a bit basic, with just the occasional village, and a small town just before Mount Vanduzi.
You'll just have to read the book to find out how Monique and Colin handle their problems and her two teenage children...
