Judy DuCharmeabout this book: My publisher for Society of the L.A.M.B. put out a call for Christmas themed cowboy romance novellas. At the time, I was reading a novel about the early history of Florida which focused on the cowboys who cracked their whips to guide the cattle herds . . . they were called Crackers. I sent a suggestion for a historical inspirational novella about the Crackers. I soon received a contract! I was stunned at first for it wasn't a story I'd already written. I sat down and the story formulated in me and on the computer. I spent a hours watching YouTube videos on cattle birthing and finding more research on Florida's history. I'd never written a romance or a western type story, but what fun and what a challenge. I wondered if I could make it long enough -- it was almost too long. I so enjoyed the characters that I created in the story -- they laughed with me and became my friends. I had a great editor and now have an ebook novella that even the men enjoy.
