Michael Bivona, CPAabout this book: RETIRED? Make sure you don't run out of money and absolutely don't become bored.
I kept a diary of my wife Barbara's and my experiences for one of the years of our retirement and explain in my book how we handled financial and health challenges during that period and later on in our retirement.
"It's wise to begin building bridges to things you are passionate about before retiring, so that when the time comes, you have a choice of which bridges you can comfortably take into the next phase of your life."
Based on that statement I wrote about how we developed a winning strategy for living life to its fullest, by learning not to merely cope, but to thrive by crafting a retirement path that is focused on personal fulfillment and financial comfort.
The book is not only our memoir but discusses how we secured financial success that enabled us to enjoy retirement to its fullest.
Some of the topics discussed are: Computers mean independence. How to stimulate your thinking process. Developing a passion. Making a Bucket List a reality. Part-time jobs. Getting rid of stuff and Conservative financial planning necessary to have a comfortable retirement.
