Book: The Reluctant Duke by Christine Donovancategories: Book, Historical, Duke, American, London, Regency Romance
Christine Donovanabout this book: Regency romance has always been one of my favorite genres. After writing several contemporaries and one paranormal I wrote "The Reluctant Duke." This book is about a dark, moody duke who finally digs his family out beneath scandal when he finds himself the guardian of a seventeen-year-old American girl. Thomas Seabrook, Duke of Wentworth travels to America to collect his ward. upon his arrival he finds a strong-willed, outspoken independent young lady.
Emma Hamilton, devastated at the death of her papa, resents the duke's interference in her life. Even if she doesn't want him to be her guardian, he does intrigue her. Wentworth is determined to marry Miss Hamilton off to the first eligible suitor who asks for her hand. That suitor is his brother. Wentworth refuses, because, bloody hell, he wants her for himself. The book takes many plot twists and turns and involves two of the duke's friends, his two sisters and one brother. I hope you enjoy the book and please contact me. I like to hear from my readers.
