Danielle Thorneabout this book: Living next door to a pirate is one thing, but falling in love with him could ruin a girl for good...
I am so excited to announce that A Pirate at Pembroke is now available!
If you love Jane Austen, pirates, and sweeping romances, then Sophie Crestwood and the pirate at Pembroke is your next favorite read! This regency romance dives into the story of the Crestwood family, who are anxious to marry off their only daughter and troubled that their new neighbor may possibly be a pirate. Worse, Sophie seems to have taken an interest in the mysterious stranger and is intent on turning down every other suitable gentleman who takes an interest in her.
Pembroke has been a Regency project near and dear to my heart for several years. I came up with the premise after watching an old version of Jane Eyre right before I decided to go back to school for another degree. For the next many moons, I wrote the story off and on, all the while knowing exactly what needed to happen between Sophie and Captain Murdock. It is a full length novel--a sweeping 400+ pages--and it makes it all worth it as reviews and messages begin to come in from happy, satisfied readers.
One reviewer writes: "There have been only a handful of times when a book truly blew me away."
A Pirate at Pembroke is my twelfth release. It's a romantic novel with sweetness and tragedy that will take you up one rolling country meadow hill and down the next--but always, to a happily ever after that will leave you satisfied and believing like me, that true love always wins.
