Thea Hartleyabout this book: This book started life following the news of a court case where a MND sufferer had asked for " the right to die". She asked the court to allow a relative to help her die, and not be prosecuted for doing so. The court rejected the case.
In "Kill and Cure," a viewer decides that they would like to help people with incurable illnesses to die.
However, this is no altruistic deed. The 'mercy killer' is, in fact, a psychopath, self-named "Azrael" ...the 'Angel of Death', who has other, gruesome motives to take on this role, Azrael records thoughts, feelings and deeds on a voice diary...which the reader can access. Giving an insight into the delusional mind of a psychopath.
The deaths are horrific. The police are baffled. They call in Resa James, Criminal Psychologist, who has had experience working with Psychopaths.
She too, is appalled by the crimes...but is able to come up with possible suspects. To her dismay, one of the prime suspects is a personal friend. Not only of hers, but of other members of the core police team. Resa's personal life is also in turmoil, which distracts her from some of the aspects of the enquiry.....with disastrous results!
This book delves into the depths of psychopathology.....and the frailties of human nature. It is not only a great crime thriller, but an emotional and psychological roller coaster ride.
